Yup - I thought I was smart - hooked up the battery, connected the
wires that are normally connected at the starter, jumpered what I
thought was the safety shutoff on the intake manifold, and got
nothing.
So I ran wires and a switch directly fromthe battery to the fuel pump,
but left the wiring
I've been working this weekend on getting the SLC ready for it's new
engine. I thought it would be nice to replace the gas that's been
sitting in it for two years with fresh gas. I used a hand pump/siphon
to remove most of it.
I thought a good next step would be to add a gallon or so of fresh
I next wired directly to the fuel pump with a momentary push button
switch. All I get from the pump is a single click. No buzz, clatter,
nothing else. A series of many (over a hundred) of button pushes does
not change the result - just a single click per push. No fuel came out
at all.
