It took me a week of fiddling with the lockset to get my 74 R107 to turn.
I slobbered Tri-Flow in the slot, inserted the key, hooked the sander to
the head and rattled the be-jeesus out of it for a few minutes, then

and right a few times, spun the steering wheel left and rig
I second the pad/detail sander. Just make sure you are ready to
remove the lock cylinder once you get it to turn, and use a screwdriver
to start it 'til you can replace it. Also check that it's not the
steering lock itself that's doing the dirty, but usually it's the
lock cylinder.

NOT turn it off again... Keep at it, you'll get it to turn once.

Lock is shot and will need to be cut out and replaced. Much easier to do while
lock can still turn

Wilton had success with a sander and some wire to tie the sander to the key, so
the vibrations were transmitted to the lock tumbler via the key.
Find the service manual instructions that apply to your car, get the proper
tools, and have it, so that when the key turns you're are ready to remove t

replacing it without being able to turn the key is near impossible. Some
