You probably know this, hyper-v is the windows version of a virtual machine. Can you save off your date, delete win 10 and reinstall? Re: [MBZ] "balance shaft" problem M272/M273 engines
FWIW - Speaking of the Balance Shaft issue - my CEL came on shortly after I bought the car (I use the term "car" loosely) and I took it to the dealer for diagnosis. When I learned how deep in the engine this problem lurked I spoke with dealer employees afout what I had. One parts guy/Repair guru he told me what he has seen personally. One owner went the full 'fix-it' route and spend ~$4000-$5000 . He told my new friend the car ran no better or worse than it did when the issue came up. Another customer took the route of "not going to spend the money" - will just drive it" he's still driving it today, no worse for wear. YMMV. I finally resolved my problems (partly) by installing an alternator and a electronic shifter assy. i still have a small short to locate and fix, then I need to service tr trans ad replace the conductor plate. That *should* fix my limp home status. Yup, I've been using VirtualBox for maybe 7 or 8 years now, works as good as VMware for free. I've got a Win7 and Win3.11 VMs on my Mac. -Curt On Tuesday, June 22, 2021, 8:43:00 PM EDT, dan penoff.com via Mercedes wrote: Run it in VirtualBox. Re: [MBZ] "balance shaft" problem M272/M273 engines
I found the link on a sticky post on 164s on benzworld. You can buy a set of DVDs on eBay From various sellers for $15 that has the WIS/EPC. It’s a PITA to get installed and is kinda funky to run As it requires a VM in Windows (included in the install) but all the details are in there. --FT Sent from iPhone > On Jun 22, 2021, at 4:32 PM, Rick Knoble via Mercedes > wrote: > > Probably.
