way back in the 60's RT featured a gorgeous Aston Martin Shooting Brake -
which those of us in the US call a station wagon. Some rich guy wanted one
and someone built it.

It was the model Bond, James Bond drove. I think someone did a RR at some
point also -

Would love to have one --

There are a number of VERY cool wagons in that list. I think they should
add the Big GM Wagon - the Caprice, The Buick Roadmaster, etc. especially,
the ones with the Corvette LT1 engine!

The 123 Wagon, The E55 AMG Wagon, and The Olds Vista Cruiser get my vote
for the best!

I think the Ferrari that some racer had built in the 1960's to test Dr Kamm's
aerodynamics theory (remember the Kammbacks?) was the coolest shooting brake ever.

The XKE in Harold and Maude was a hearse, not a shooting brake, right?

Ford made a Fairmont wagon in the early 80's that would have been comparable
too. I never had the wagon but I had
the Mercury Zephyr 2 door and it was quite a decent little car with an inline 6.

i miss the early 60's Ford Falcon wagon my family had; red, 2-door, big
circular tail lights, and that typical 'wood' paneling treatment that
was so popular at the time. that little thing really hauled! (can't
recall my Ford engines exactly, but i think it had some small V8 in it.)
i have distinct memories of my mom as a young mother booking that
thing up some of the dirt roads near our house in the woods when the
roads were snowy and sloppy and she had to hit some of the hills with
some momentum to make it up,... all the kids in the back would be
cheering her on to go faster.;-)

The Olds is neat as is the old Chevy but about the only one I would really want
is the older Mercedes wagon.

On the topic of Olds, I saw a very nice F85 in traffic this morning on my way
to work. Burgundy and probably about
a 1964?

I have the old 123 wagon!

In high school one of my buddies got to drive his dad's F85, not sure
what year it was, but it had a turbo on the engine if I recall
correctly. Small engine, not too fast, but a neat little car. It was
gold, and had a black vinyl top maybe?

I put a '63 turbo jetfire engine in my MGA - but replaced the turbo with a
4-barrel since the turbo was toast.
Aluminum block/heads, 215Cu.in., etc.
