Re: [MBZ] 12 Wonderful Wagons We Want
way back in the 60's RT featured a gorgeous Aston Martin Shooting Brake - which those of us in the US call a station wagon. Some rich guy wanted one and someone built it. It was the model Bond, James Bond drove. I think someone did a RR at some point also - Would love to have one -- Larry 91 300D Import - Export Putting Buyers Sellers Together -- From: Donald Snook dsn...@mtsqh.com Sent: Monday, July 12, 2010 11:43 AM To: Mercedes@okiebenz.com Subject: Re: [MBZ] 12 Wonderful Wagons We Want Rich wrote and provided the following link: 2 Benzes, and some other greats. Ford made a Fairmont wagon in the early 80's that would have been comparable too. I never had the wagon but I had the Mercury Zephyr 2 door and it was quite a decent little car with an inline 6. The Olds is neat as is the old Chevy but about the only one I would really want is the older Mercedes wagon. On the topic of Olds, I saw a very nice F85 in traffic this morning on my way to work. Re: [MBZ] 12 Wonderful Wagons We Want
I have the old 123 wagon! In high school one of my buddies got to drive his dad's F85, not sure what year it was, but it had a turbo on the engine if I recall correctly. Small engine, not too fast, but a neat little car. It was gold, and had a black vinyl top maybe? --R On 7/8/2010 12:08 PM, R A Bennell wrote: The Olds is neat as is the old Chevy but about the only one I would really want is the older Mercedes wagon. I put a '63 turbo jetfire engine in my MGA - but replaced the turbo with a 4-barrel since the turbo was toast.
