nice guy. did you tell him about the bill, or did he just do it of his own accord. hope the hospital treats you well, and that you heal quickly. Apparently the same as the W201. I learned this lesson the hard way. I have made a fairly servicable clip out of nails and shoegoo. Does that earn me some sort of Jim Cathey in training award? :) -Curt Date: Wed, 26 Apr 2006 21:51:18 -0600 From: "Dave M." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] 124 broken window To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 I'd let the dealer do the job, but if you or anyone else is removing the rear (or front) door panel on a W124, the big tip is DO NOT PRY OUTWARD. Remove the plastic stuff, unbolt the top of the door handle, slide the door handle housing forward to un-clip it, then the whole panel slides straight upward. No prying of any kind is required. Prying will break irreplaceable plastic tabs. =) -Dave M. - Blab-away for as little as 1ยข/min. Make PC-to-Phone Calls using Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Well unless it's likely my 89 300TE where the former owner took two wood screws and screwed the broken off rear arm rest into the panel and into sheet metal. Managed to miss the regulator & window by like 1/8 of an inch. Needless to say that panel would come off, but since I had the shop manual I new something wasn't right. Took a few hours to figure out and then noticed the slight puncture marks in the door arm rest where the screws were counter sunk into the foam... Very slick, until someone tries to remove it by prying inward, I've got two that were replaced for this very reason. Window regulator will be pretty much self-explanatory. Window must be down to remove regulator, but that will be obvious anyway. Peter

I believe it comes off like a 126 - slides straight up - not snap-off the door sideways like a 123. I hope your local dealer remembers how a W124 goes together.
