No. Not unless you completely rewire things. But that’s no different than any
other aftermarket radio you might try and install in the component type Becker
system. Nothing is a drop in replacement for the Becker systems with the
separate amp and tuner/head units.

The continental color is almost exact match for the Becker.

When I bought one for my 350SDL I bought the Metra harness and wired it up
myself. Pretty easy and
I am not that partial to blue or orange lighting. I have a Becker 612 on the

It uses a standard DIN connector, like mid 90s and later MBs use. The
alternative is a Metra harness for about $15.00.

The harness should be the connectors / adapters to plug into the back of
the radio and then into your car's existing wiring without any cutting and
splicing.
Yes, that is steep. I'll be that Crutchfield sells the separate components
for about $25 each or so?

What do they mean by "without harness"?
$50 seems a lot extra for a "harness".

I had one (TR7412UB-OR Continental Radio with USB and Bluetooth - 12 Volt -
Orange LED) that went south and has been returned to the seller (a place in
Germany) for a warranty replacement, but now I'm getting crickets from them
by email. I need to call them probably.
The radio is dirt simple and
Buy one of the Continental radios. They’re relatively cheap and have all the
modern appurtenances like bluetooth, USB MP3 capability, etc., and they look
nice and correct in our cars. I’ve got one in the 350SDL and I love it. Max
has one, too, I believe.

Very good insight. I looked on the Goog and World of Benz for a map. Then I
decided I would just remove the C151 from a PnP car and make my own map. I
did that over dinner (dissect) and will now make a color map (in the morning)
so that I can repair my mistaken wire placement. Figure I
did the visit to dealer. Used the magic key device. After five attempts, we
decided the thing is borked and will not unlock. Tech told me to get a cheap
aftermarket radio.

About the only thing I know for you to do would be to look at the
two pages of the schematic covering the gauges for the 126. Look
at all the wires going to the gauges labeled as C151. That's the
round plug. On the other side of the wire from the C151 is the
number of the location in the plug.
I have been pulling my hair out for the past three weeks trying to figure out
just why in the world did my cabin lights and cluster not illuminate. I test
bulbs, swap out fixtures, bench test things and grow more perplexed.
I pulled the cluster so that I could swap out the non functional
