My 2 190Ds have been at my Indy's for a couple days now. Today he gave me a
call, turns out the timing chain doesn't appear to be broken on the parts car.
He says it looks like the belt tensioner broke the timing chain case. Of course
that covered the front of the engine with nasty diesel

No he looked at it-but didn't tear it apart. He works some on MB diesels
and said by looks of it he thought that the bottom end probably had
damage too

Hey folks.
Dwight spotted a 190D parts car for me, '84 190D 2.2l auto trans. The timing
chain broke and according to the Indy thats looked at it its trashed the whole
engine. The body is in good shape, supposedly $1000 of work on the jack points
although eagle eye Fred noticed a rust spot on
Curt, is yours a stick? I think the auto diffs are about 10% taller.

appears that 2.2 is 3.46 and 2.5 is 3.07.
