to "fix the damages" and he is not mechanical enough himself to understand
the "Upsell" that just happened..
I'm betting the quote came to over $2,000 for "transmission repairs and
damage done by the belt".. The non
That and a rattle can respray would probably make a pretty good ride for
$800 and maybe, what, $100 for some parts?

That happened to me once in the '90 300D 2.5T - nick in alternator pulley
shredded the belt. Replaced the tranny cooling hose, belt, pulley,
re-filled the tranny, and it was good for another 50,000 miles when I sold
it.
