If your read further in the question/answer section,
he clarified the engine in the car right now does not
have any parts from the old motor. When I talked to
him he did say it was MB rebuilt from Germany and has
the receipt for it. But again, you can only trust
someone's words to some extent,
If someone were serious about that car, I would ask the vendor to fax the
relevant receipts for a perusal by your local friendly dealer service
manager or your indy shop. They will pick up on details even a good DIYer
may miss.

Before you repair/replace the radiator, be SURE the motor and
transmission mounts have not collapsed - that's the cause of MANY of the
upper hose connections breaking (from excess stress on the upper hose
connection) and while the new radiator might not fail immediately, it
WILL fail prematurely
