In Florida, you can have a “salvage” title and register the vehicle and drive
it. If the car was “totaled”, it has to be inspected to get a “rebuilt” title.
My 1995 S500 coupe that came from Tarek had a salvage title.
Mrs. Dan’s
I think KY has different color titles to designate rebuilt, salvage, and clean.

Does the $5000 include what you paid for it at the salvage auction?
And by "salvage", do you mean "rebuilt", or is it up to the buyer to
make sure it passes inspection and retitle it?

Salvage title, means it needs to be inspected and upgraded to "rebuilt" to
register it?
