My 1977 300 D repeatedly makes long hihway mile trips some 300-400 miles one way. 22 to 23 mpg with a stiff tail wind, valves just adjusted and a clean air filter. Engine burns about a quart to quart and a half of Mobil one synth every 1500 to 1700 miles. I think the owners book says somet
