Has anyone experienced a noisy XP valve? Ever since I replaced the compressor, drier and XP valve there is an intermittent noise coming from under the dash when the A/C is on.Sounds like a high note on a saxophone. It is not the blower. A 123 is easy. It's the filling in a foam sandwich accessible either thru the glove box or if not there for sure behind the lower panel below the box. Reminds me, the insulating sandwich is kaput on my '80; I need to order a replacement if I'm ever to get around to recharging the thing. -joe _

As an owner of a sub-sonic 240D I am experienced at turning the fan or AC to off when starting from a dead stop - or when I (Gasp!) might attempt to pass someone - obviously they'd have to be going *very* slow, going downhill and having zero traffic in the distance. It doesn't happen often. ;-
