I thought I saw fuel markings on the wings. Very close to a crash, I think -- great job keeping that thing in the air. Also a VERY good argument for putting ALL the hydraulics/electronics stuff on the TRAILING edge of the wing (a la Boeing 747) so that engine shrapnel doesn't do these

Amen. If the three extras had not been aboard, it sounds like it would have crashed. Wonder if the root cause will be similar to the UA DC10 that blew the engine in flight due to flaw in the rotor titanium. Very close to a crash, I think -- great job keeping that thing in the air.
