Wracking my noggin for if I ever blocked the rad in Gump. Not that it got cold enough in SEA, but I did have issue with the fuel gelling while under way. Gallon of petrol solved that. Oddly, fuel would solidify about the time the cabin heat was just becoming noticeable. clay monroe 1974

I don't think "toasty" is in the cards for an '04 Golf TDI, they are well known for lack of winter heat. Almost as bad as a Geo Metro in Canada, a buddy of mine had one and the temp gauge would slowly drift down on the highway in the winter. Driving if 4th may help, but that tends to kill

Mostly short trips in the Golf? Angie's '03 makes plenty of heat but not for the first couple miles. My '15 makes excellent heat and pretty quick but I think its got the extra injector running to heat the engine up faster. Fuel economy suffers in the winter, even worse than you'd otherwise

At long last I replaced the coil in the TE, wanted to some time back but my friend Hans talked me out of it, he suspected fuel injectors instead to account for the rough idle and other assorted ills, including difficulty setting the mixture on the KE-Jet. Popped it in, charged the battery
