I expect this to be U channel, thats what the cars are aren't they? I wonder if

I had to go to the dentist this morning, then since I thought we were going
grooming tonight I went and plugged in the ASV.About 3pm I got the word we
aren't grooming which is a big disappointment, its supposed to be cold tonight
and it would have set well but we really don't have enough snow... So I went
and unplugged the ASV, I started it since the engine was warm, it fired up nice
but wouldn't idle well until I held it at 1500rpm for 30 seconds or so, then it
settled down. I mentioned to one of the other guys that I want to adjust the
valves, he said "Can you do mine too?"The valve cover gasket for the JD 4045T
in the ASV is easy to get, I'm having trouble getting one for an OM352LA, or at
least getting one that I'm sure will fit...

3.0 liter OM603 (original engine), modified with the addition of a fuel
injection pump from a later 3.5liter version of the OM603. I would like to
adjust the governor to deliver less fuel and increase the engine RPM fuel
cut-off, but haven't had time to do that yet.

Just filled the fuel tank on my 124 diesel wagon, 24.2 mpg around town.
Looking back in my fuel log, mileage jumped about 2 mpg when I replaced the
faulty thermostat which was keeping the engine too cool. I'm expecting the
highway mpg to be around 27 or 28 now, but no chance to test that yet.
