Replaced the springs in the TE today, didn't take long. Left side was
failing in multiple places and bulging out toward the wheel, right
side had more broken off the end, but no big problems.
Ball joints went in and out nicely with a custom made press adapter
and a $200 ball joint screw press I originally bought to do the ball
joints in a friend's Cherokee.
Did find out last night the alternator is bad, need to swap it I
think. Replaced the regulator last winter because it wouldn't stay
charged, and my brother replaced the fairly new battery a few months
later when my niece was driving it to school.
But it runs and it's safe to drive on the highway now, which is a good
thing!
