John,
Sorry for the late reply, catching up on digest.
My understanding of the problem is that the glowplug design or the head design
is faulty and allows a ring of carbon to form that is too big to fit out of the
hole that the glow-plug must. You need to apply a good penetrating oil that

Does the SDL have SLS? Its the SLS that makes the wagon amazing...
Not normally, but I believe it could be ordered with it.

I have seen several 126 gassers with it. I always thaought a 126
with hydraulic suspension would be nice. However a 126 on springs is
still as good as or better riding than a 123 with SLS. I've had
both; several 123 wagons. The 126 wins, hands down.

what the heck are you talking about? Wherever you are finding these 124
diesel wagons that are cheaper than 123 diesel wagons, let me know so I
can buy them.

I think it's more shrinkage as the male threads weaken and collapse when you

I would have to respectfully disagree. The best MB diesel ever made was the
W23 turbodiesel wagon. What a great combination of durability, fuel
economy, practicality, and pure driving pleasure.

I wouldn't go so far as to assign value based on the 'looks', but I do
agree - they are ugly cars. They are much better driven than looked

I like the 124 wagon, I think it looks great. It's the
