Let's recap:
I mentioned somebody confessing to an attempted crime in a public forum.
I also mentioned that if I had known how to report the crime I would have.

It is a medium duty diesel engine used in things a lot heavier than
most light duty truck buyers would ever need.
BUT, its block started life as a gasoline engine. Unlike other engines that
im not a thief, i just mind my own business and don't stick my nose where it
dosen't belong.

Because that guy is an asshole and a thief. The price you pay for a vehicle is
more because of dorks like him. If you aren't outraged by that you aren't
paying attention.

Apparently Ford doesn't warrant those diesel sngines that have been modified.
The 7.3 in my opinion isn't a true diesel to begin with

Just don't put it on a 7.3PSD with WD Tri-power chip and run it at the top
setting.
(sorry, I implied it might have been a BD chip but I looked it up and I was
wrong,

Depending on the use and how often you use the propane injection it is
perfectly safe. What most people don't understand is there is a right way and
wrong way to use the system. If you don't allow the engine to be brought to
full operating temp you are totally defeating the purpose of the system

Not always a good combination. A lot of the tuning programs advance the timing.
Propane

You got one thing right about torque from a diesel, they really kick it out.
Helped a friend with his Duramax when he put a chip in it and also used propane
injection. That thing spun so hard it twisted the U joints and bent the drive
shaft

Look at the S400 CDI! It has more torque than the Ferrari 550 Maranello!
That's what gets you up and going in the morning...TORQUE!!
And who were those guys racing a diesel car at the last Le Mans?? Their
biggest problem was from all the torque chewing up their multi disc
clutch!!

But my point is that Porsche has made diesels for 50
yearsalmost.they are thinking of toying with a sports version
but it's just a rumour.

I heard rumor that Porsche dumped the idea for the diesel in the Cayenne for
the same reason VW did. Not cost effective, in otherwards why would someone
want to spend $80 K on a Porsche with a diesel just to save fuel?

But Posche has made loads of diesels in the past! Why not now

Maybe I'll refrase that response, I didn't mean to say Porsche used the same
engine in the Cayenne as VW uses in the Touareg. I meant to say they share the
same bodies but different drivetrains are used. BTW, there is no V6 option in
the Cayenne only in the Touareg which is in fact a Audi engine
Harry ?M says partially incorrectly:

As I previously posted, the Cayenne and Touareg share the platform and doors.
That's it. They certainly don't use the same engines except for the low end
V6 which I think is a modified Audi engine. Some would like to see the VW V-10
diesel in the Cayenne
