IIRC the lighter sockets of the W114/W115, like old American iron, are fairly deep when compared to the newer cars like R107+. The lighter socket hardware, like seat belts, are 100% American in origin, but have been drifting. The _power_ sockets, though, I believe retain the original depth. T
