Our 2006 Sprinter had a towing capacity of 5000LBS. The boat in tow was our personal boat, a Tracker Party Deck 21 I/O which was near the 5000LB towing capacity. The dragon boats were between 600 and 900LBs each, and with 4 on the club trailer, the Ram 2500 Cummins was definitely up to the task

Seems like that would be less than 5K even after you stuff the entire crew in the van. My Hobie Cat is about 700lb sitting on the trailer. Only way you knew it was back there when towing it with a Plymouth Horizon was it acted like a parachute above 45mph. But 93hp was plenty to overcome that,
