On Monday morning I was in a very foul mood and called AT&T HQ legal dept demanding the name of the driver so I could get him charged for harassment under the bike law. A very short time later the regional supervisor calls me, tells me he is on it and will get back to me once he gets it sorted. Coupla days later he calls, said he had met with the driver and his union rep. Driver denied having done it. Supervisor shows him gps records, speeds ( slow while following me then speeds up to pass and brakes in front of me then speeds off) time, location, exactly as I had said. Union rep confers with his boy, who suddenly had a memory reset. Driver on probation, please let them handle it, etc etc. I let it go but was quite impressed with the technology. --R (sent from my miniPad) On Feb 2, 2014, at 10:42 AM, Dan Penoff wrote: I was working a termination hearing at the school board last year where they used a GPS as part of the grounds to terminate an employee. I was working a termination hearing at the school board last year where they used a GPS as part of the grounds to terminate an employee. Someone had this guy's number, so it was only one of a number of things they were throwing at him. He took a "short cut" to a school site from his shop and stopped for 53 seconds on a side street to talk to someone (there was another worker in the van. who corroborated the story.) GPS in trucks was available 25 years ago. Friend of mine owned a small trucking company then. He also owned the first MB truck in the region. He had GPS on the trucks about 25 years ago. He told the drivers the GS was there, what it will show, and not to deviate off path or they'd be fired. One driver drove 15-20 miles out of the way and went to a casino.
