I put a new alternator in my '84 190D a couple weeks ago. In doing so I noticed
the pulley didn't line up perfectly with the crank, this was the same on the
old alternator (which I put in back in December) so I moved my spacers over.
Unfortunately this alternator had a different kind of center

afternoon. On the passenger rear brake the inboard piston is siezed in
the caliper.
So just to get this done before Monday, I'm tempted to try AutoZone or
Pep Boys tomorrow to see if they have one. The one on there now is one

Depends on why it's stuck. If the piston is cocked in the bore, you
can usually persuade it to come out, then you need a rebuild kit.
Otherwise, yeah, they are all pretty much the same.
Change the rotor -- I suspect the piston is stuck because the rotor
is too thin and the backing plate

Exercise it a bit and you might be fine, or, as Peter said, it might
be cocked. I would try the exercise bit before I spend more dollars

starts a discussion much the same as oil.) In that case, no Dot 3
anyway. Best to only buy dot 4. It works
