Great. Now I have something to look forward to on the 2008 ML550. I figured it would be a real bear to do mounts on just because of the limited space with the larger engine. Fortunately, the mounts that are on it are in good shape. They are Quinn. No case. I’m going to spend a boatload on organizing stuff. The W163 mounts are no easier or quicker on a lift. If you’ve never done a set you wouldn’t know why. The "Quinn" tools should be (in theory) better than the "Pittsburgh" brand though I have no real complaints about the Pittsburgh stuff either, it's never let me down. I have shit piles of tools in a disorganized state; but I think I was to just stock in new tools in the new box from the start then sort out the rest of my tools later. [MBZ] Harbor Fright Tools
So I’m in Flagstaff and going through my tools this morning in preparation to make sure I have everything I need to do the motor mounts on the ML350. I realized that I can try to build up my tool collection here in a “hit or miss” approach”, but it’s going to be ugly and probably require a lot of trips to HF.
