I have a three-dial jobbie, too, as the attached photograph shows. It has two sliding levers for the vents and a temperature wheel for controlling the A/C. I've seen that one before in the junkyards. Looks like the two sliding levers' actions are combined in my car, and my mechanical AC

Actually, mine has the two sliders too, Craig. It took me a while to understand the functions of everything by just reading TFM. But it makes easy sense once I fooled with it. I like how the knobs on these sliders have either an up notch or a down notch for your fingers to feel in the dark. So
