Fellow here in Michigan keeps waiting for Polaris Labs to tell him his Amsoil
Signature oil is worn out. His 2014 Cruze is emissions deleted, so there's no
added fuel dilution from particulate filter regeneration cycles. And he drives

These days, I suspect all the major refinery name 'full synthetics' (note that
they don't and can't call them 100% synthetic) are made to be good enough, and
you just hope that good enough doesn't mean 'just barely qualifies to not get

I started using Valvoline synthetic in my pickup. At around 6,000 miles into a
change the engine started to get a little shudder like a miss at idle, change
the oil and it went away. Also had a little lifter tick that went away on fresh
oil.
A couple months ago I switched to M1, the tick is
I haven't seen any research on this list to support the claim that farm
store synthetic is as good as the elixir of M1. Many of us have
testimonials about M1 but that seems to be about it.

So, what is the current feeling about oil? Synthetic is good but is
Mobil1 really better than other sort of house brand synthetic oils?
I recall someone on here recently suggesting that buying synthetic oil
from a farm supply place was just as good as brand name oil.
Any thoughts on that?

According to the seller, it needs an a/c compressor. But, looks pretty clean!

Planning on powering the whole neighborhood? You’ll need a BIG air compressor,
too, as that big black hose on the right is an air line for the starter (air
starter). No air or large storage tank full of air and no start. Unusual for
a unit of this size.
The problem you will run into with
Go big or go home... as the saying goes...
Perfect size to run a circus midway... should only cost you about 6 to 10
gallons of fuel per hour at full load...

It needs to start the heat pump with a few other loads going, unless you plan on
running it part time. If you only run it when needed, you can start the
generator, start the heat pump,
Remember Cathey's all electric house, complete with resistance heat?
He got that big Hercules so that he could heat with the generator, and
then found out it cost a fortune in propane to run the generator with
the heat on.
Never hooked it up all the way, can only get maybe 30A out of it

lose roughly 1/3 of their rated output at single phase ratings due to
losses.
Not losses, as such, just an inability to harness all the available
energy when using only one phase to load it. Essentially you combine
two windings into one, losing the 1/3 that way.
