As somebody else suggested, I think my Stanleys have the 'smart'
switching hardware in an inline box as part of the wiring harness. So if

My CTEK smart charger will not engage unless it senses some
voltage when you connect it. The jump packs are probably similar.

Well maybe my email on this topic didn't get to you?
" KP200 jump pack comes with a smart clamp that prevents you from improper
operations." like powering an electric seat at the junkyard.
These jump packs that are 'smart' need to be connected to a battery before
they'll provide any power, so
They will start a 617 or 603 etc as long as there is a battery in it. I
tried starting a 603 with nothing but the jump pack hooked up. That
will melt it. I sent a message to them and they sent me a new one. I
am now looking for the charger for it. I did go ahead and order this
one as I am
I thought Kaleb was the one that melted the wires off a jump pack trying to
start a 617...

I thought you were the first guy to tell the lists that the book sized
packs would actually start a 617. I bought a couple of tiny Stanley
packs on clearance at
Maybe I should get one of those small jumper packs with some jumper wires.
Actually with one of those could probably just hook it up to the battery
terminals then use the switches to move the seat assuming switch is still in
place.

I bought one of those lithium jumper battery packs, thinking that would be
a nice battery pack to take to the knackers for just such a thing.
However, the pack I bought is 'smart' and needs to sense a discharged
battery before it will provide any power. I'm not sure if it is looking
for a voltage
I had a rig that attached to the spare Dewalt battery for the sawzall. Pull
the wire harness and apply power to the proper posts to get a seat to rise,
slide back or forward as needed. Otherwise (before I figured that one out) I
had to use a 10mm on a swivel socket and extension while barking

I have often wanted to remove some front seats out of w210 cars at the pnp but
how do you do it when there is no power to move the seats back and forth to get
to the bolts?
