SICK! What is that color? Must be aftermarket. THIS CAR HAS NO VALUE.
But I will give you $500 anyway since you are a decent fellow.

I had an 84 that belonged to the son of a guy who was management in parts
distribution at Montvale (MBUSA).

It was a wicked car, and had tons of really nice updates and mods courtesy of
the parts system.

While a diesel coupe is not what most would consider a sporty car, with the
ALDA tweak it was a really fun car to drive.

Enjoy!

Re: [MBZ] I buy a 1985 300CD

2015-03-07 Thread Jaime Kopchinski via Mercedes
Kaleb, its possible, but the reason they sell for so much is that they're
pretty good cars to start with, and I sort them out.

Most cars are for sale because something is about to break, or just did,
and people are tire of putting money into it. If people believe they're
buying something which has been serviced to provide a long life, they're
willing to pay more.

I'm not sure how long I'll keep this one. I might keep it as a driver and
sell the 300SD I have now. The 300SD isn't a bad car, but its not
especially nice or special either. I'm not really attached to it.

A 1985, 240k miles... a bit high for my tastes, but its second owner bough
the car in 1990 and has always serviced it at the dealer. Its had lots of
work done and really drives nicely. Of course, a few things to sort out
still... but a great car with original paint, super clean in terms of rust,
 always garaged in NYC.
