The plastic is getting brittle.  How successful this repair will be is (IMHO) 
determined by
how much 'splint' you put into the repair.  Otherwise, it'll just break 
somewhere else.

I hate plastic.

sounds like working on a 124 back door.   Gee, I wonder where they got 
the idea?

Today I get to fix the Infiniti's right rear door window. It failed last night, 
so I taped it closed and then this morning took off the door panel.
