I'm a happy customer. Pull the cluster out, and remove the 4 screws
hodling the spedo in, then 2 screws that remove the gear cover. Replace
ALL 4 gears, don't replace them 1 at a time, they're cheaper as a set and
replacing 1 will ruin the others slowly. I know personally.

There is a write-up somewhere in the archives. Commonly the failure is due
to one of the 2 hard rubber drive gears crumbling. They are a double gears,
small gear should be 12 teeth, large gear is 60. When replaced, all is well
again.
