You are right Clay that even lawyers are in danger of losing jobs to
automation. A great book written in 1995, 'The End of Work' by Jeremy
Rifkin forecasts all of this.

They have special concrete anchors for that, but I always figured if I were
going to put a lift in a new garage I'd use giant U bolts cast into the
concrete, and the area around the posts would be 3x as deep as the rest of the
pour. Those U bolts would have to be very accurately positioned

house framing. I also make ramps out of it.
I will say that getting up and down off the ground all afternoon is good
exercise...but a lift is the only really civilized way to do things.

My buddy the timber framer has given me a bunch of cutoffs that make great
cribbing under the car once jacked up. Stack some of those under the frame. It

I think I read he had some particular form of pancreatic cancer,
somewhat rare. I'll ask The Expert on such things, see what she says.
I recall she was talking about this a few months ago, can't remember
what she said.

The fact that there was no mention of his Pancreatic cancer is odd. The
tables say that 95% of those so diagnosed are gone in less than a year. Perhaps
he is in the 5%,
