I'm looking at a car in Atlanta that one day just decided it didn't want to start. When the key is turned nothing happens, no noises, etc. The owner tried starting it in neutral, and has cranked the engine over by hand. What do you guys think is the problem? If I could make arrangements

Find out what's wrong -- if the starter is locked up, jumpering it won't help! You short between the small wire and battery connection on the solenoid. Not too bad on a NA 61x, but hard to reach on the turbo models and impossible on a 60x. the starter it buried. You can jump it at the

Peter said You can jump it at the wire terminals over on the passenger side on a W123, but I've never done it. When I had my 300TD and before that the 240D, I hard wired in a remote start switch to those wire terminals. Worked like a champ. Royce
