Dr. Robert Cade, a professor of medicine and a friend of my wife and I, also died. He was once almost fired for holding hepato-renal (liver-kidney) conferences (actually drinking parties) for his graduate students inside the medical school. When Dr. Cade first formed a tiny corporation in order to promote Gatorade, he offered stock at a few dollars per share to those whom he worked with at the teaching hospital. My wife wanted to invest several hundred dollars in the stock but I refused. Big mistake! We would soon have been wealthy. Rest in peace; Dr. Booth and Dr. Cade; you were both one of a kind. There's nothing in the email protocol (SMTP) that preserves time
ordering of messages. You send them, they float around on the
internet for a while, forwarded from relay to relay until they find
your email server. Messages regularly get stuck in queues for
minutes or even hours if a particular relay server is overloaded or
off-line for a while.
Most mail reading programs can sort by "sent" time or "arrival" time,
if you want to read messages in the order they were written use the
"sent" time (though this can be wrong, as well, if the sender's time
zone or computer clock is not correctly set).

Marshall's fiance's son also died of cancer (I can't imagine what Linda is going through losing Marshall and then two days later her son, we don't expect to outlive our children). BTW, was this the son that was a professional mechanic? Another death that has more direct impact on the list than Marshall's son is Regina Striplin's sister. Life may undergo serious changes at the OkieBenz ranch due to that episode.
