We have a local farmer’s market/restaurant supply place that opens at 4:00 am
during the week who carried bulk meats. I can buy a whole beef tenderloin
(filet) for about $30 there. A whole pork tenderloin under $20. They have all
sorts of bulk meats and it’s cheap as wine. A big produce section

I usually watch the meat sales at the grocery store and stock up when it's
cheap. We've still got a pretty good supply but I need to go talk to my local
wholesale butcher.

Not to proselytize but I have pretty much quit eating beef and pork and
chicken, eat shrimp and fish and veggies mostly. It is shrimp season
now so I go over to the dock once a week or so and get a few pounds. I
am fortunate to be able to do that. I think it is much more healthful.

people have been hoarding freezers like they have been TP lately. They were
hard to come by a month ago. Not sure now.

or over $8 per pound, streaks being much more that that I decided to explore
options. Ideally I should get some cattle to raise then have it butchers. What
I did in the mean time is find a local wholesale meat
