Re: [MBZ] Miss Marshall
I have thought of SO many things I wanted to ask him, that I never got around to. Offbeat and weird things, that only someone who had been around Mercedes diesels for 40? 50? years would have known. In any case he was a constant for so long, on most of the lists, that it was kind of like hearing god had been declared dead. Just having him around gave a list a certain prestige. Re: [MBZ] Miss Marshall
One of my work associated got a new-to-him '83 300D (seems I have a teeny bit of influenct on people's old car choices). When he asked what kinds of things should he do right away, since nothing was really wrong with it, I began giving him the list. In my mind, as I was speaking, I could see Marshall's posts running through my head...complete with the CAPS for emphasis. I found myself reciting, almost verbatium, these posts which we all saw many, many times..usually after we all gave our feeble attempts at advice to some poor soul. I miss Herr Doktor auch.
