Delvac 1300 Super is what my friend's mom ran in her 300TD wagon for 250Kmi
until someone rear-ended her and totaled the car.

Well, that is what is now in my VW Quantum DT ... as of about a half hour
ago. I will switch back to Mobil 1 when the temps drop -- since Delvac 1300
15W-40 has a pour point of -22F (that's getting near to something to be
expected during an Iowa winter).

Anyone have experience with this oil? It would be going onto my VW diesel,
not the Benz.
Loren: ask me some time about the drain plug fiasco!

1982 Quantum DT. Owner's manual pretty much says, Pour in whatever you
want, depending on the weather.

I used it once as a transition oil in Gump going from the sludge when
i got it to the second change out a thousand miles later to M1 Truck
and SUV. Worked well to lube what needed and help move the gunk
out. Guess I could have used anything

I think it flows better than most dino oils, on my 89 300TE I
experience tappet noise which we decided
was the mobile 1 15w50 flowing too well and letting the worn lifter
collapse.
It was switched to QS 15w40 and the noise when away.
I switch it then to delvac 1300 super 15w40 and the noise
