Turns out that the smoke I was smelling last night and this morning
was most likely from the Texas panhandle, not the little (by
comparison) local fires. That's smoke from a fire about 250 miles
away that you could see in your head lights. Must have been some fire!

My roof sounds like it's trying to blow off right now here in AR. I
still havn't picked up the mess from the other day when I had a chunk of
my barn blow off and fly about 60ft into a fence.

I don't mind a good storm if I don't have to travel. The wife is stuck in
Champaign, IL tonight. Was going to go through Chicago. Neither airport
was
able to really function very well. Fortunately she has relatives in
Champaign.
