My daughter and SIl have a Dodge Durango [maybe 5 years old?] with a non
functioning AC. It was just the fan, and cooled OK when moving, but I
think it is more involved than that now. She is about 7.5 months pregnant
and getting stalled in traffic on I285 for 2 hours just about did her in a
day

Can't help with a mechanic, but if only the fan has given up, it is most
likely the blower
