I find, for most automotive
I just used a roll of this awesome stuff to seal up any leaks in the
HVAC ductwork in my basement. It's truely great, and can remain
straight (self-supporting) at longer lengths to reach in behind
hard-to-get-at spaces.

You're right about the metal tape, it is good and I have a roll. I try to
save it for those special jobs and let duct tape handle the light weight
stuff.
