That's an old bargaining trick. You offer the salesman $X, and he says
no. You walk away, and when he calls back you offer him LESS.
I'm not that good of a salesman. lol. I try to gather some info on whatever
it is I'm buying, offer what I think is a good deal for me, while allowing
him to make a decent commission too. I don't haggle, and I tell them how I
deal, right up front. One price, up front, out the door. Take a day
