That was the birthday present I gave to Vitalliy, the great lil Ukrainian kid who used to work for me. A very talented and resourceful guy, I asked him to label some equipment, "Caution - High Voltage." He asked, "Timmeke, what is this word "caution" meaning?" I explained and he said, "OK, it will be like the piece of cake." I arrived at the site the next day to see a brightly lettered sign, "You Touch, You Die!" > From: "Kevin Kraly" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: Mercedes Discussion List > Date: Mon, 11 Feb 2008 22:45:22 -0800 > To: "Mercedes Discussion List" > Subject: Re: [MBZ] OT: Was Early 70s 200Ds, 220Ds, now Road Rash > > In fact this summer I'm considering jumping out of a perfectly good airplane > for pretty much the same reason. -- next part -- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... We took the motorcycles out for a ride last summer, stopped for an ice cream and got to see something like 100 people jump at the same time. One guy got WAY off course and dropped into the batting cages at the ice cream place. The ice cream place ower loaned me a truck and I took the guy to meet up with his pals. They invited us to jump but could never make the timing work out last year. This year I'm determined to make it happen. -Curt Date: Mon, 11 Feb 2008 22:45:22 -0800 From: "Kevin Kraly" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] OT: Was Early 70s 200Ds, 220Ds, now Road Rash To: "Mercedes Discussion List" Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset="iso-8859-1"; reply-type=original In fact this summer I'm considering jumping out of a perfectly good airplane for pretty much the same reason. DO IT! Sky diving is the biggest rush that you'll ever experience. There's nothing like free falling at high speed then the huge deceleration when you pull the cord. Then a nice relaxing float under the canopy.... There's more to this description, but it's banned rated. Its like the guy who does a tour in Iraq and comes home to die in his sleep... I ride the bike because it scares me and reminds me I'm alive. In fact this summer I'm considering jumping out of a perfectly good airplane for pretty much the same reason. -Curt Date: Mon, 11 Feb 2008 14:47:30 -0500 From: "E M" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] Was Early 70s 200Ds, 220Ds, now Road Rash To: "Mercedes Discussion List" Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Can never remove all dangers from everything. Something to be said for just living life too, right :-) Friend of mine has an old Frog eye, no belts, no side, back or front protection, and forget about rollover protection. I'd never pass up an invitation for a ride. :-) We do what we can to limit the risk and put the odds in our favour, but not at the expense of giving up living. Old cars and bikes are great, lets keep ourselves well trained, and our machines well serviced and enjoy both by putting lots of miles on them. :-) Ed 300E - Never miss a thing.
