I would guess that your floor has a smooth finish on it though where a
driveway will be a rougher finish. When I worked at the airport during
college, one of the newer hangars had a very smooth floor that had
(probably) an epoxy finish on it too. We had to mop and buff that thing
once a week
I put down Bona wood finish on my floors, It's a catalyzed water-based
finish. I wonder if that might work outside to seal up concrete? Not
cheap, like $50 a gallon.

Also understand that this is a portion of my driveway, not all of it. I had
another “lane”, so to speak, added. So I have 2/3 old

Absolutely not.
I took a look at Lowe’s this morning and came out totally unimpressed. The
selection was marginal at best, and even my go-to product, Thompson’s
“WaterSeal”, has been compromised into a low VOC concoction that people pretty
much universally pan in reviews.

The concrete floor of my hangar is painted with something (I don't know
what, but B-12 Chemtool dissolves it), but it is SLIPPERY when WET !
Yes, oil, etc. wipes right up without leaving a stain. I bought special New
Balance anti-slip shoes for working our there. They help a lot.

Thanks, Manfred, I’ll check that out.
I’m only looking for something that will seal it to keep oil and grease from
staining it. Fortunately, we don’t have to worry about freezing down here….

Dan,
I'm involved right now with painting the outside of my concrete
dome. Richards paints has a concrete sealer that they recommend
to be used before painting concrete. It is number 1791C, C for
clear. I have no idea if it is slippery in the rain as I haven't
walked on the dome in the rain

Thanks, I already saw these and read them. Helpful, but doesn’t really
say anything about specific products.
I’m going to Lowe’s today and look around.

I assume you demand a nonzero coefficient of friction in rainy weather?
Mitch.
Of course.

The extension of the driveway has passed the 28 day mark, so it’s considered
cured.
I was thinking about sealing it with something, basically to keep nasty stuff
out like grease and oil. No risk of freezing down here, so that’s not an issue.
Research I have done indicates that Thompson’s has
There you go, stain the whole thing black, maybe you can market that a
fortune...

Didn't Grant recently post something for Andrew to seal his grow-shed floor?
("Seedlings" my a$!, WDC is about to legalize pot, Andrew is getting the inside
track to fund his retirement).

Mop the new concrete with the next batch of Diesel drain oil, and you'll
never have to worry about spilled oil on it again.
