Re: [MBZ] OT Bathroom Vent Fans - Vent half-bath to attached garage?
So duct out to the garage, then up to its ceiling, and inside that go to wherever? If you're willing to peel open the wall, go up _inside_ the garage wall? -- Jim ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
Re: [MBZ] OT Bathroom Vent Fans - Vent half-bath to attached garage?
No, don't see any easy way to run a duct inside the ceiling other than out into the garage, but maybe I could go through the ceiling over the garage to the outside wall. The issue there is that would be the front of the house, so aesthetically that would be a challenge. I don't think that will meet fire code -- garage walls are usually thicker sheetrock and a fire door, you put a penetration in there and if a car catches fire or something, you have a problem --FT On 3/7/21 6:06 PM, Dan Penoff via Mercedes wrote: Yeah, it occurred to me that you also might have the possibility of getting smells from the garage into the bathroom, too.
