Sounds like the payoff for a lot of years of work. If all the taxes bother you too much you could always turn down half of your salary and save some of them... ;=D. The possibility of additional school is also nice. I did 5 years of graduate work with no tuition and free housing - let me restate that: I did 2 year of work in 5 years, which is why I left that job. I'd probably still be in my post-grad degree if I hadn't. Assuming you like what you are doing the further you go the more fun it is, and it would seem you have the advantage of sleeping with someone you can talk to about what you are doing. Sounds like both of you have worked yourselves into a very good spot. Do enjoy it to the fullest - sounds like you have earned it. BillR

They're also going to let me take classes, and possibly work on a masters or PhD while working for them. My wife is getting her PhD in genetics there at the same time.
