Good point. The fliud looks good, and doesn't smell burnt, but I'll change it anyway. I wonder if it has a filter -- might have to find a book, there must be a trip to the library in my future. The power sterring pump on my father's 1999 2.5 Ford Ranger is whining rather loudly. It seem to work fine, and isn't leaking fluid. The truck only has 48k miles. A local McParts has two rebuilt pumps - ATSCO and Beck-Arney.
