My boss has had DirecTV for a year or so. AFAIK, pretty much all the
systems are 2-way now. But, DirecTV(Hughesnet) sucks because of they're FAP
(Fair Access Policy). He gets to download 200mb in 24 hours. After that it
drops to dialup speed. There are more expensive plans but they still seem

need to keep a dialup service because of non access periods. Has your boss
mentioned that?

installation and like $70/month for the basic plan.
Dish is like $200 for a lease for the equipment(you can get $10/month for 10
months rebate if you're a dish TV customer), then about $50 for the basic
plan.

Geez, that's expensive. Factor in snow outages with the cost and I'm
thankful that I can get DSL; even if it isn't full speed!

When I had my direcway, it didnt go out unless it was really raining
hard, so no, I didnt keep a dialup.

Well when I got my sat they had a deal where you didnt have to pay for
the whole equipment up front, you paid something like $99 a month for
the first year(to pay off the equipment) then it dropped down to normal
rate. This all those are cheaper now though.

Go to dish networks website, dishnetwork.com, they offer 2 way sat
internet. I used to have direcway, check their website also. Its quite
a bit better than dialup thats for sure
