My motivation for going the FLAC route is to get uncompressed files. After
listening to compressed versus uncompressed I am convinced I can tell a
difference (FLAC vs. MP3, fir example.)
As for speaker impedance, the Magnepans are rated at 5 ohms, and The Fisher has
taps for 4 and 8 ohms, so I
