So far here, the extra tax on EVs is paid with the registration. No
taxes on charging (yet).

I also wonder about the tax man but where I work the charging stations take a 
credit card...

I agree that $12k is high for a 7 year old tiny electric car. I'd buy one for 
half that though.

Before COVID, that was a $6-8k car in California.
No established market value outside of the three states (CA MD OR) that 
were meant to have it. And I believe the 2014 might have been CA only.
