I assumed this was in Mammoth or one of the places where trucking in gas is very difficult. Back in 2016 dad and I were moose hunting in Grand Lake Stream, Maine: https://goo.gl/maps/ZajrbzssB8jMGcbW7 IIRC gas was $5/gal where it was something like $2/gal out at the highway. It was then that I realized the gas was trucked in in 55 gallon drums. The extra price was the shipping. Thats what you get in a town of 230 people at the end of a dead end road. I stopped to get a few gallons of gas at a local station. Premium 93 was $6.40/gal I had to look twice, thought it was 5.40. I wonder if this was unadulterated stuff for boats. 89 was like 5.30 so I got a few gallons of that.
