Thanks all for the tips on the VW. It is good to hear that the sediment
is natural; I'd never seen that happen before. As to what to do with the
car now - it is in a museum and so doesn't get out a whole lot, maybe
once a month. It still wears the original tires and they are absolutely
unsafe

What did it look like? 911s with certain brands of oils a number of years
ago, would produce "engine honey". Just water that didn't seem to burn
off. I remember dumping the oil in my 911 once and getting all this creamy
looking crap in the bottom of the oil tank. I changed brands, but kept the
