Rarely watch TV, as I consider it a vast wasteland of dreck. If I have time that is idle, I usually read a book. Speaking of reading, there was a really good story that was linked to from that aviation web site about crashes. It's a bit long, but I found it pretty engaging. Alexa is now available in the Amazon Music App. Simply use the push-to-talk function within the app to access Alexa’s voice controls. No searching or browsing required – just ask. So you can just ask Alexa to play stuff for you, or download stuff too I guess. With Amazon Prime you can download music onto your device and listen to it offline (and movies too) and it is just sorta "borrowed" I guess. My daughter unit got me listening to podcasts, there is an infinite variety of stuff out there for free, including back programs of radio shows. Some have a bit of commercial sponsorship but it is not really intrusive. I recently listened to Crime Town about Providence RI, which was excellent as I recall Buddy Cianci and his shenanigans, and S-Town about this small town in Alabama, which is excellent but might not be to all tastes.
